
Each of these fourth grade Sallie Cone students chose to study a person who made a positive contribution to society. After researching the notables' lives, the students created Bio-riddles and PowerPoint presentations to share with their audience. They also dressed as their notables and brought their notables' favorite foods to share.

Several CHS - West students attended UCA's Humanities Fair on Thursday November 6th. The students brought awards which include:
* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Essay,
* 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Multimedia,
* 2nd place in Poetry, and
* 2nd and 3rd place in Short Story. These students completed against local high schools such as Greenbrier, Mayflower, Hall High, Parkview, and Beebe.

First Annual EAST NIGHT OUT Open House to Showcase Conway students'
good work
More than 20 students will host Conway High School's first annual "EAST Night Out" on Thursday, November 20, at Conway High School's EAST classroom. Beginning at 6:30 pm, EAST students will present visitors with an overview of the EAST program and will showcase samples of the projects they are involved in. The event is open to the public and is designed to inform the community about Conway High School's EAST accomplishments.
The EAST Initiative is a non-profit organization that provides new ways of learning for modern students. EAST focuses on student-driven service projects through the use of the latest technology.

The Senteo Interactive Response System designed to be used in conjunction with a SMARTBoard and the Smart Tech Notebook Software for interactive student assessment and interaction. It includes a radio frequency (RF) remote for each student in the class, a central receiver, Notebook Software, and Senteo Assessment Software, which tallies student responses, records attendance, posts test results and provides individual feedback.
The system was supplied to CSMS through a grant by Southwestern Energy Company and will be shared by CSMS math teachers.
Kim Hughes, who teaches 8th Grade Math and Algebra I at Carl Stuart says, "The students have become much more engaged in the review and the results of tests since I have been using the Senteo."
