According to NCLB Simon Intermediate is in Targeted Improvement Year 2 for literacy, based on the 5th and 6th Grade Benchmark Exam given each spring. No school choice is available at this time as Ruth Doyle Intermediate School is at capacity. Students at Simon are receiving consistent and comprehensive literacy intervention. Simon Intermediate met standards in all subpopulations of mathematics and is in Targeted Improvement Year 2 for literacy in the subpopulations of Students with Disabilities, Economically Disadvantaged, and African-American.

Parent nominations for Conway Public Schools GT Program at Simon Intermediate may be made between now and Friday, September 3rd. Parent nomination forms may be picked up and returned to the front office at Simon Intermediate.
