According to NCLB Simon Intermediate is in Targeted Improvement Year 2 for literacy, based on the 5th and 6th Grade Benchmark Exam given each spring. No school choice is available at this time as Ruth Doyle Intermediate School is at capacity. Students at Simon are receiving consistent and comprehensive literacy intervention. Simon Intermediate met standards in all subpopulations of mathematics and is in Targeted Improvement Year 2 for literacy in the subpopulations of Students with Disabilities, Economically Disadvantaged, and African-American.

Mr. Bubba Corbitt, G.T. specialist at Simon Intermediate, stands with Simon's winning Quiz Bowl team. The team of fifth and sixth graders from Simon Intermediate placed first at the Elementary Quiz Bowl tournament held in Dardenelle. They advance to the next level of competition which will take place in Conway March 12th. We are proud of our students and their accomplishments and wish them luck at the next contest!
