Students Promote the Election Process PDF Print E-mail
Simon Intermediate students from Mr. Corbitt's gifted and talented class experienced the election process. They divided into political parties, registered to vote, nominated candidates, chose running mates, created party platforms based on school issues, and participated in primary elections as well as a general election. As part of this process students created campaign ads to promote specific school candidates or the upcoming presidential election in November. Please bring new or good used books for children to school.

Place books in the bookworm box in the library.

Students: If you have an extra pair of blue jeans that you don't need anymore, we have a use for them at Simon.  Please donate clean jeans in your size and leave them off at the front office.

Any Student that plans on moving should meet with their counselor ...   You must turn in all of your books before you leave.

Tardy Consequence Reminders:  

*First and second offense will result in write-up from teacher.

*Third offense will result teacher contact to parent.

*Fourth offense will result in administrative contact.

*Fifth and subsequent offenses will result in Saturday school or ISSP assignment.

PARENTS:  Students may enter the building at 7:40 a.m.  There is no supervision on school grounds before 7:30 a.m.  If you drop your students off before 7:30 a.m., they will be unsupervised.

If you drop your child off after 8:10, please come into the office to sign them in.


GFCC Ministries will be providing after-school transportation to the Deer Street Boys & Girls Club.  There will be a weekly service fee of $30.00 per child to cover the cost of gas and compensation for a driver.  Payment will be due each Monday and checks are to be made out to Greater Fellowship.  Seating capacity is limited, so the servie will be provided to the first 13 students to sign up.  If interested, contact Odie Phillips at (501) 428-4610 for an application.  Greater Fellowship Christian Church Ministries.
