Deadline April 1, 2010: Faulkner County Master Gardener Scholarship
This is a $1000 & $1500 scholarship to assist a Faulkner County resident in pursuing a post-secondary degree in a plant science related field, including but not limited to horticulture, botany, agronomy, forestry, plant science, landscape architecture/design, and turf management. Deadline April 1, 2010: Dr. Phillis L. Nichols-Anderson Faith-Based Book Scholarship
Awarding one $1000 and one $500 book scholarship. To be eligible applicants must be of African American ethnicity; a senior at a high school in Faulkner or Pulaski County; planning to enroll in college for the fall 2010. Be able to type a 600-800 word essay on a scripture provided. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 1, 2010: University of Arkansas at Monticello E.A.S.T Scholarship
Award given to an eligible student for tuition for up to 15 academic hours of credit per semester. Any student selected for this award will be required to provide voluntary assistance in the Information Technology Department or Spatial Analysis Lab on campus for a minimum of 10 hours per week each semester the award is made. To be eligible students must be a high school senior; must have a minimum 3.0 GPA; 19 ACT composite with 19 sub score in math and English; proof of at least two years of active involvement in a recognized high school EAST program; 2 letters of reference regarding EAST service and performance. Deadline April 1, 2010: Ralph G. Norman Scholarship Application
Scholarship awarding four $2,500 scholarships to provide assistance to young adults with learning disabilities so they may pursue higher education. Must be a current resident of Arkansas to apply. The scholarship is for students who are ineligible for SSI or SSD funding. Must be able to show two forms of documentation of your disability along with a 2 paragraph statement of your future educational or career goals as well as 2 letters of recommendation from two adults that are not related to you. Deadline April 1, 2010: Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Cliff Garrison Scholarship
Scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior from Faulkner County. To be eligible student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher; have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; active in local church and preferably involved in a FCA Huddle group or other student ministry on the high school campus; participation on a varsity athletic team during senior year. Deadline April 1, 2010: Jon Robbins Memorial Scholarship Endowment
$1,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior at Conway High School. To be eligible you must be planning to attend an accredited college or university in Arkansas; show potential for academic success and/or have financial need; demonstrate strong leadership skills and personal character. Along with application, must have a copy of your transcript, ACT scores and two letters of recommendation from one teacher and one other unrelated person (employer or community or church leader). Deadline April 9, 2010: Conway Progressive Club Scholarship
$600 award given to a senior GIRL from Conway High. To be eligible student must have a GPA of 2.8 or above and planning to attend a college in Conway as a full time student. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 2, 2010: Shelter Insurance Foundation Scholarship
Awarding a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior. Children of any Shelter Insurance Agent or employee are not eligible to apply. Student must be enrolling in a college or university for the fall of 2010. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 12, 2010: Little Rock Title XIX Black Employee Network Group Scholarship
$500 scholarship for any minority 2010 graduating senior who attends high school within 50 miles of the museum building in downtown Little Rock. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 and write an essay between 500 and 750 words. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 10, 2010: The Ernest Whitelaw – Don Kinney Scholarship
The American Indian Center of Arkansas Scholarship Award Program is awarding a $500 scholarship to 2010 graduating senior. To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must be of documentable Native American decent from a federally recognized tribe. The documentation required is a CDIB card or tribal enrollment documentation from a federal recognized tribe. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 15, 2010: AASFAA Scholarship
The Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA) will be awarding two $500 scholarship sot Arkansas students planning to attend member institutions. Winners will be selected by random drawing. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 17, 2010: NAACP 2010 Scholarship Cotillion
The NAACP Jacksonville Arkansas Branch will award one $1000 and one $500 scholarship to be used toward college. It is the programs’ goal to successfully provide life skills training for young ladies who will be graduating from high school and preparing to attend a secondary institution. Scholars that are selected will have the opportunity to attend workshops which will begin July 24 through November. The time of preparation will be filled with activities, such as social etiquette workshops, character development, community service and much more. To be eligible you must be a female senior in high school with a GPA of 2.0 or higher; must have no children or expecting any children; have a good character, good reputation, and conduct; community involvement and between the ages of 16-18 at time of application. Deadline April 21, 2010: Darrell Bryant Pearson Memorial Scholarship
Awarding $500 to a 2010 graduating senior from Conway. Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher; acceptance to a major university of vocational school; must submit a wallet sized photograph of candidate. Applications are available in the counseling center.
Deadline April 22, 2010: 2010 Student-View Scholarship Program
Program offering $8,000 worth of scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. The program includes: One $4,000 scholarships; Two $1,000 scholarships; Four $500 scholarships. In order to apply, log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in our area. The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications.
Deadline May 15, 2010: Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers
Awarding $1000 for a high school senior who is a US citizen and are intending to earn a degree in engineering and attend an ABET accredited university. Student must have at least a 3.0 GPA and have an ACT score of 25 Math and 23 English or SAT score of 500 Math and 450 Verbal to be eligible to apply.
