Rodney Matheney, Principal

Rodney is a graduate of Crossett High School in Crossett, Arkansas.  His college career began at the University of Central Arkansas where he received his BSE and MSE.  As a collegiate athlete he received a list of individual honors but is most proud of having played a key role on two National Championship teams on the NAIA level.  His educational career began in El Dorado but he returned to Conway for five years and served in the capacity of special education teacher and Dean of Men at Conway High School.  Rodney then moved to Fort Smith where he worked for the Fort Smith School District as an Assistant Principal at Northside High School for three years and Principal at Darby Junior High School for eight years.  He also served as Principal of Pine Bluff High School for two years prior to returning to Conway High School where  his administrative career began.

Steve Daniels, Assistant Principal

Steve is a graduate of North Little Rock Ole Main High School.  His college career began at Arkansas Tech University.  He transferred to the University of Central Arkansas where he obtained his BSE and MSE degrees.  Steve has taught at Rose City Junior High School, Northeast High School and North Little Rock High School (West Campus).  He has been employed with the Conway School District since 1991, as both a teacher and coach.  Steve was hired as the Assistant Principal in 2005.  

Melinda Wright, Assistant Principal

Melinda is a graduate of Athens High School in Athens, Texas.  She received her BSE from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, an MSE from Henderson State University and Ed.S from UALR.  She taught junior high and high school English for Carthage Public Schools and Sheridan Public Schools before joining the Conway Public School system in 1995.  Melinda became assistant principal in 2003.

Ed Franklin, Dean of Students (Men)

Ed was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio.  He has a BSE, two MSE degrees and his PhD.  He has been working at Conway High School since receiving his BSE in 1994 from the University of Missouri at Parkville.  He received his post graduate degrees from Stamford Hill University.

Nick Stroman, Vocational/Technical Education Director

Nick graduated from Texas Senior High School in Texarkana, Texas.  He attended college at Texas A&M University of Central Arkansas where he received a BSE and MSE degree in Industrial Education, along with several certifications.  Nick has previous teaching and administrative experience at Paron High School where he taught Industrial Education and was principal for seven years.  He was employed at Conway High School as welding teacher in 1989 and served in that capacity for 11 years before becoming Director of the Career Center in 2000.
