Ms. Karla Fournier
Ms. Fournier, a native of Oklahoma, holds a Bachelor of Muisc degree and graduate study from the University of Houston, Texas. She has performed in numerous orchestras in the Houston area while teaching at the River Oaks School and the Cole Music Conservatory. She has also served as the music director for the Children's Theatre of Performing Arts Program. Since moving to Arkansas, she has been an adjunct clarinet professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. She has been the principal clarinetist with the Pine Bluff Symphony since its inception in 1987 and second clarinetist with the Arkansas Symphony since 1990. She is currently the orchestra director for the Conway High School West and Carl Stuart Middle School 8th grade orchestras, and also teaches the Ruth Doyle Intermediate high strings class. Ms. Fournier lives in Conway with her daughter, Kinsey, an
All-State clarinetist and senior at Conway High West.

Ms. A. Roshell Cobb
Ms. Cobb teaches
orchestra at Simon Intermediate, Bob Courtway Middle School and Conway
High East. She also assists Ms. Fournier at Conway High
School West. She recently relocated from
teaching orchestra in Fort Smith Public Schools. Prior to her
employment with
Fort Smith, she did
graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University. A native of
Michigan,
Roshell and her family moved to Conway
in 1991. She attended Conway High School, during which time she was a
member of the Arkansas Youth Symphony, All-Region
Orchestra and All-Region Choir, as well as the All-State Orchestra and
All-State Choir. As an undergraduate at
the University of
Central Arkansas, she
received her degree in Music Education with an emphasis in both Vocal
and Instrumental
Music Education. As a violinist, she has
served as a member of the Pennsylvania State University Chamber
Orchestra and
Philharmonic Orchestra, the University of Central Arkansas Symphony,
Conway
Symphony Orchestra (forerly known as the Conway Civic Orchestra), and
the
Blue Lake Festival Orchestra. In 1997,
she joined the Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra, where she still
performs regularly as a violinist. As a vocalist she
has served as a member of the Pennsylvania State University Essence of
Joy
chorus and Concert Choir, the University of Central Arkansas Chamber
Singers,
and Concert Choir and Opera Workshop. She is a member of Sigma Alpha
Iota International Women's Music Fraternity. At The Pennsylvania State
University, she was
awarded the Bunton-Waller Fellowship and teaching assistantship. She
taught Music Education for K-6 Non-Music
Majors, Instrumental Music Education for Non-Instrumental Music
Education
majors and String Methods and Techniques for all Music Education
majors. She also taught in
Texas with the Coppell Independent School
District (ISD) and Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Roshell lives in
Conway with her parents, Alfred and Elena
Cobb, and her dog, Precious.

Mr. Buck teaches the sixth grade low strings (cello and bass) at Ruth Doyle Intermediate and the 7th grade orchestra at Carl Stuart Middle School. He also assists Ms. Fournier and Ms. Cobb at Conway High School East and West Campuses. Mr. Buck attended both college and graduate school at Loyola University New Orleans, where he earned his Master's degree in Music Performance and his Bachelor's degree in Music Education. In addition to his work with Conway Public Schools, Mr. Buck teaches the string methods class at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and maintains a private string studio both in Russellville and Conway. He serves as a section cellist with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in Little Rock, has performed in solo recitals in New Orleans and in Russellville, and has plyed in masterclasses for world-renowned cellists Lynn Harrell and Maria Kliegel, He lived in Russellville for the two years after leaving New Orleans due to hurricane Katrina, and just built a house in Conway this summer. Mr. Buck now resides in Conway with his wife, Kristy, and their dog Brady, a West Highland White Terrier.
