Research proves that children are more successful in school when their parents are active in the education process.

Schedule and Attend Parent Teacher Conference
Every year Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the fall and the spring. Here are a few ideas to help make the conference work for your child as well as yourself.
  • Start the conference right: be on time, and plan not to run over the amount of time that has been set aside.
  • If you are a working parent who can't arrange to meet during regular hours, make this clear to the teacher and try to set-up a time to meet that is convenient for both of you.
  • That best conferences are those in which both teacher and parents work together for one purpose and one purpose only: to help your child do well . Before attending the conference, it might be helpful to make some notes.
Edline
http://www.edline.net
Edline is an online tool that will help you to monitor your child's progress in each subject during the school year. It is available to parents of Intermediate, Middle, and High School students. You can set your Edline preferences so that Edline will send you an email every time your child's grades are updated.

Classroom Visitation
You are welcome to visit your child's class during the school day. For you child's safety, please remember that all visitors must sign in at the front office. Please remember that you are an observer, not a participant, unless you have previously made other arrangements with the teacher. Please be sensitive to the needs of all students in the classroom and allow the teacher to maintain the usual routine while you are in the classroom.
