The Faulkner County Library will host a book signing for a new Conway Author this weekend.
The author is a fifth grade student from Carl Stuart Middle School.
Aidan Eslinger has recently published his first book, "The Colorful Sky," which he will be signing at the library on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Eslinger says writing is something he has been doing since he was young.
"I was always interested in being an author," he says. "I started writing books when I was 4 or 5 years old. I wrote the original version of "The Colorful Sky" when I was six. Recently I told my parents since I was writing so many books, I wanted to get them published. I want to let other kids hear my stories and inspire them to go after their dreams too."
Aidan says his friends and teachers at school have been really supportive and excited about the book. He hopes many of them will come to the book signing for "The Colorful Sky," which is written about a young boy.
"This book is a wonderful tale about a boy named Justin who is going to his friend’s house for a sleepover. He grabs all of his favorite juice as he leaves home. Unfortunately, on the way there has an accident and loses the juice. The next day something crazy happens! But you have to read the book to find out more!"
"The Colorful Sky" will likely not be the last book we see from Eslinger. He says he is working on several other projects, including a collaboration with his sister, a chapter book, and even a play that he would like to produce in the fall.
