Connie Willis took a two-week trip to Italy with one of her friends, where she saw many different of works of art.
" This was a “bucketlist” item for both of us and it lived up to every expectation," said Ms. Willis.
She says she was so inspired while traveling and visiting ancient towns and seeing world renowned pieces of art like “David.”
She was moved at how someone so long ago could create something so beautiful that even centuries later people are able to appreciate it.
"This was a moment of awakening for me...I feel compelled to bring this mindset back to the students at CLE," Willis said. "I want my students to learn not only the basic concepts of art but, more importantly, I want to foster the spirit of creativity and help inspire the children who may see this as a true interest for their lives."
