Students at Conway High School recently won top honors in a Chinese Proficiency competition for High School and College Students.
The students from Grace Liu's classes competed in various events. Students could give short speeches in Chinese, answer Chinese culture related questions, or perform a Chinese song or dance. They could also demonstrate martial arts or play a Chinese instrument, or show an art project with Chinese painting or calligraphy.
Conway High School had one student win 1st place and another win 2nd place, as well as an honorable mention winner.
"I am so very proud of my students," said Grace Liu," "They did a wonderful job."
The competition was hosted by UCA's Confucius Institute.
