Students at Julia Lee Moore have been playing all sorts of games at school this week!
Math students are learning about place value. Teachers have used a variety of fun activities to practice these skills including rolling numbers with dice to representing with base-ten blocks and numbers as well as using dry-erase mats to represent a number in expanded form.
“We love using games to help us learn about and practice place value," says teacher Lindsey Sled. "I see that my students have fun and are more engaged when we play games while learning at the same time.”
