Conway High School students prove they stand out from their peers in competition.
Student members of HOSA (Future Health Professionals of Conway Area Career Center) participated in the annual Arkansas State Conference last week in Hot Springs.
The conference includes competitive events which highlight a particular subcategory of health care professions. Each year, Conway Area Career Center is a heavy favorite to win numerous awards. This year was no exception. The following students are proudly recognized for their achievement in their prospective events.
Community Emergency Response Team- Abigail Allen, Caroline Jones 1st place
CPR/First Aid-Motion Foxx, Madison Vangilder 2nd place
Emergency Medical Technician- Hannah Abels, Cailey Maples 3rd place
Health Career Display- Katelyn Caldwell, Kyle Mahan 1st place
Hosa Bowl- Anna Allison, Anne-Jillian Clements, Whit Parker, Haley Schluterman 3rd place
Medical Innovation- Manahil Kazmi, Tatiana McGraw 2nd place
Medical Photography- Bailey Milligan 1st place
Researched Persuasive Speaking and Writing- Joniya Flowers 2nd place
Transcultural Health Care- Bryan Jacquez 3rd place
Veterinary Assistant- Emma Cook 2nd place
These students are eligible to attend the International Leadership Conference this June in Orlando, Florida where they will compete against students from all over the United States and several other countries.
