Calling all young soldiers! The Conway High School JROTC is looking for a few good young men!
The JROTC will host their "Little Raider Camp" for kids ages 5 through 13 on May 9th at the Conway High School Football Stadium.
"This event shows kids a little bit about what our CHS JROTC Raiders do in competitions against other JROTC programs," says Lieutenant Thomas Speck. Speck is the Senior Army Instructor for the CHS JROTC Program.
The Little Raider Camp is a 3-hour program designed for the kids to have a good time while learning a little about JROTC. Instructors select some of the activities their students perform during the school year and share them with the attendees.
"Our cadets not only get to practice more, but also get to teach the younger folks, which is one of the tasks they must accomplish during their senior year," Speck says.
This year's event will be held on Satuday May 9th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm. To register or get more information, parents can call Speck at (501) 733-4070
In case of inclement weather, the camp will be held in the High School's Old Gym.
