Carl Stuart Middle School's Jr. Optimist Club raised more than $1,500 to provide care packages for the homeless and senior citizens of the community.
Donations were made to the Faulkner County Council on Aging, which strives to meet social, nutritional, and transportation needs of senior adults.
They also donated money to the Bethlehem House, which works to equip, motivate, and encourage homeless individuals to strive for a better quality of life.
"A special thank you goes to our students for all of their hard work this year," said Brandi Kemp, the club's sponsor. "We would also like to thank our school and community for supporting these projects."
