McDonald’s Restaurants in the Conway Area are partnering with educators to raise money for local schools. Over the past ten years, McTeacher’s Night has provided students, faculty and parents with the opportunity to increase school pride and generate funds for their school by allowing them to take over a McDonald’s location from 5-9 p.m., with a percentage of the sales going directly to their school. Since its inception, McTeacher’s Nights have raised more than half-a-million dollars to benefit area schools!
On Tuesday - March 3rd, the students at Marguerite Vann Elementary ended their day with a surprise visit from Ronald McDonald! He shared with them how important it is to share their time, talents and gifts with other through community service. Tuesday evening, the school faculty & staff participated in McTeacher's Night. They performed tasks that included working the drive-thru window, dipping ice cream cones, filling orders and serving dine-in guests. Even principal Bobby Walker took an order or two!
"We are excited about what this program brings to our community and how the proceeds from tonight's event will benefit our school." -Rebecca Decker (Asst. Principal)
Over 100 students and families participated in the evening's event.
