A group of Carl Stuart students are reaching out to make a difference in the lives of their younger "neighbors." Each week, the CSMS mentors come to the Marguerite Vann cafeteria to meet with about 20 elementary students. The students from Carl Stuart listen to the elementary students read aloud, and play literacy and math-based board games with them. They provide needed encouragement to the kids.
"I like the feeling of teaching a kid a new thing." says Grant.
Madeline adds "I've enjoyed leaving campus to do something that benefits children."
Teachers say these students are building key relationships throughout the year.
