Conway High School 11th and 12th grade students swept the 2016 Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase (Y.E.S.). Congratulations to these students and their teacher, Elizabeth Wells!

Sam Emery, 2nd place: “Sam’s Record Shop”
Jhordan Collins, Tavian Cranford, and MarQuese Jackson, 3rd place: “Eclipsed Orchid”
Ryan Bush, 4th place: “Ryan’s Law Care Service”
Winning team members for first place in each category receive a $100 cash prize and a certificate. The teacher advisor of the first place teams win $500 and a trophy for the school. Second-, third-, and fourth-place winners in each category also received cash prizes, team member certificates, and school trophies.
Competitors also included teams from Little Rock Central, Spring Hill School District in Hempstead County, LISA Academy / North Little Rock, and Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock. In all, 47 business plans were submitted by teams totaling 85 high school students.Nearly 30 Arkansas business, education, and community leaders volunteered this year to judge the plans and selected the winners.
Since 1957, Arkansas Capital has worked to empower Arkansas entrepreneurs by providing capital to businesses through its capital availability programs and advocating for entrepreneurs through capital, educational and technological improvements.
In 1999, the company established the Arkansas Economic Acceleration Foundation as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with a mission to promote and foster the development of Arkansas’s future entrepreneurs and small business owners. In addition to the Y.E.S. 2.0 competition, AEAF also coordinates the Donald W.
