Volunteer! Contact your school's PTO or office for a list of committees or activities which would benefit from the "helping hands" of parents like you!
Schedule and Attend Parent Teacher Conference Every year Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for the fall and the spring. Here are a few ideas to help make the conference work for your child as well as yourself.
Start the conference right: be on time, and plan not to run over the amount of time that has been set aside.
If you are a working parent who can't arrange to meet during regular hours, make this clear to the teacher and try to set-up a time to meet that is convenient for both of you.
That best conferences are those in which both teacher and parents work together for one purpose and one purpose only: to help your child do well . Before attending the conference, it might be helpful to make some notes.
