HISTORY
Carl Stuart Middle School was constructed in 1987-88; classes were first held January 3, 1989. It was named for Carl Stuart, who was affiliated with the Conway School District from 1964 until his retirement in 1986. Stuart came to Conway as high school principal and then served as superintendent for 18 years (1968-1986). The building was expanded by 12 additional classrooms, which were opened in 1992.
