Dr. Barnes possesses an extensive background in educational leadership. Prior to being principal at Carl Stuart Middle School, Dr. Barnes was the Director of Elementary Instruction at Russellville School District. Before that, Dr. Barnes led education initiatives at the state level as Director of Assessment and Accountability for the Arkansas Research Center and Deputy Director of Curriculum and Assessment at the Arkansas Department of Education. Dr. Barnes also has experience in working directly with students as a guidance counselor and as an English teacher at Rivercrest Junior High School in the Rivercrest School District.

Dr. Barnes believes that middle school is a very special time for children and loves the challenge of helping students discover their talents and pushing them to achieve greatness. He and his wife, Tiffany, an intervention teacher at Carolyn Lewis Elementary, have one son, Jacob.

BSE in English Education 7-12 from Arkansas State University; MSE in Education Administration from Arkansas State University; Ed.D. in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with an Emphasis in Instruction and Curriculum from University of Memphis​.

Mrs. Campbell has served the Conway Public Schools since 2012. She is a 1992 graduate of Cabot High School. She began her teaching career after earning a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Arkansas. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Counseling from Harding University and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas.

She has a variety of experience, including serving as a classroom teacher, school counselor, coach, and bus driver. She describes her passion as making a positive difference in the lives of the students and their families. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband, attending sporting events, and traveling when time allows.

BSE Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Arkansas, MS in Counseling from Harding University, and an ED.S in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas.

Mr. Adams came to Carl Stuart Middle School in the fall of 2022.
