Greetings, Vann Families!

Welcome to Marguerite Vann Elementary!  I consider it a privilege to lead our school and to get to partner with you in the education of your child during these critical early learning years.  

Although I’ve been principal of MVE for only a short time, Vann has long held a special place in my heart.  My own children attended Marguerite Vann from kindergarten through fourth grade.  Between my three sons, I had a child at Vann for a decade!  I know Vann teachers and staff to be wonderful, caring people and it is my privilege to get to lead and serve alongside them.  

You can expect your child to be safe, supported, and challenged at Vann.  Our staff works hard to get to know each student and provide each one with what he/she needs to make progress on their learning journey.  We value your child as an important part of our school community and look forward to both teaching them and learning from and with them.  

You are also an important part of our school.  We welcome your involvement in reading to and with your child at home, attending school events, and supporting our school and your student in other ways as opportunities arise during the school year.  The fact that you are seeking information about your child’s school here on our website demonstrates that you care about his/her education and I personally thank you for playing an active role in their school experience.  It makes a difference!
