Amy Howell
Amy Howell became the Principal of Ida Burns Elementary School in the Fall of 2020. Mrs. Howell earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Arkansas State University. She has taught a variety of grades, as well as been an Instructional Facilitator and the Assistant Principal at Ida Burns.

Mrs. Carise Echols
Carise Echols came to Theodore Jones as the Principal in 2022. Mrs. Echols has two master's degrees- one in School Administration from Harding University and the other one a Master's of Arts in Teaching from UCA. Her undergraduate work was in Health Education from UCA.
Mrs. Echols lives in Conway with her husband and two daughters. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, laughing with friends, and traveling.

Yvonne Sturdivant
Yvonne Sturdivant is the Principal of Carolyn Lewis Elementary. Mrs. Sturdivant taught at many levels for 19 years before entering administration. She is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, reading, listening to music, and crafting.

Holly King
A Wampus Cat Alum, Holly King began teaching in Conway Public Schools in 2007. She has been the Assistant Principal at Julia Lee Moore and at Ellen Smith. In 2019 Mrs. King became Principal at Ellen Smith where she works hard serving students and their families. Mrs. King loves to run and spend time with her husband and three children.

Mark Lewis
Mr. Lewis has Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Central Arkansas, and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Arkansas. He taught at Ida Burns for three years and served as the Assistant Principal at Theodore Jones Elementary and Jim Stone Elementary for five years before being hired as the Jim Stone Elementary Principal in 2004.
Mr. Lewis loves spending time with his wife Dayna (who is the principal at Woodrow Cummins Elementary) and their kids: KatyBeth, Adam and KaraLyse. He also enjoys golf, working out, and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs and Dallas Cowboys.

Shanda New
Mrs. New is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and the University of Texas at Arlington. She worked as an Assistant Principal at Preston and Florence Mattison Elementary School before coming to Vann as Principal in 2022.

David Yates
Mr. Yates became the principal of Bob and Betty Courtway Middle School for the 2022-23 school year. He served as an Assistant Principal at Conway Junior High School for four years. Mr. Yates is originally from Decatur, Arkansas.
Mr. Yates obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Arkansas Tech University. He then received his master’s degree from Harding University in 2012. Most recently, he completed his educational specialist degree from the University of Central Arkansas.

Matt Kelly
Mr. Matt Kelly attended Conway Public Schools for Kindergarten through 12th grade. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from UCA, he joined the district as a 10th grade Biology teacher.
Mr. Kelly entered administration as an Assistant Principal at Simon Middle School and is now serving as principal of Ruth Doyle Middle School.

Christi Parrish
Christi Parrish has been serving in an administrative role at Simon Middle School since 2012. Before coming to Conway Public Schools, she worked as an English teacher, an Instructional Facilitator, and as an Assistant Principal in Pulaski County Special School District.
Parrish received her BA in English in Secondary Education at UCA, her Masters in Counseling from Harding University and her degree in Administration from ASU. Mrs. Parrish and her husband Jamie enjoy their family time spent with their daughter Jay.

Dr. Chris Barnes
Dr. Barnes possesses an extensive background in educational leadership. Prior to being Principal at Carl Stuart Middle School, Dr. Barnes was the Director of Elementary Instruction at Russellville School District. Before that, he led education initiatives at the state level as Director of Assessment and Accountability for the Arkansas Research Center and Deputy Director of Curriculum and Assessment at the Arkansas Department of Education. Dr. Barnes also has experience working directly with students as a guidance counselor and an English teacher at Rivercrest Junior High School in the Rivercrest School District.
Dr. Barnes believes that middle school is a very special time for children and loves the challenge of helping students discover their talents and pushing them to achieve greatness. He and his wife Tiffany, an intervention teacher at Carolyn Lewis Elementary, have one son, Jacob.

Preston Echols
Preston Echols came to Conway Junior High School in 2019, after coaching and teaching all different grade levels in the Conway School District. After spending a year as Principal of Maumelle Middle School, he returned to CPSD as Conway Junior High's Principal in 2022.
Mr. Echols grew up in a family of educators, watching his parents pursue education with passion. Now, he and his wife, Carise, also a CPSD Principal, are doing the same. They have two daughters and enjoy spending time together as a family.

Buck Bing
Buck Bing has served as Principal at Conway High School since June of 2018. Mr. Bing is a long time Wampus Cat serving the district since 1996 in many different roles including Teacher, Coach, and Administrator.
Mr. Bing is a classically trained educator from the school of education at the University of Central Arkansas. Mr. Bing, and his wife Cheryl, have been Conway residents since 1992.
