Conway Area Career Center’s Welding program prepares students for career opportunities in the welding industry. The program provides training for students in the following areas of welding: welding safety, shielded metal arc (Stick Welding) welding, gas metal arc (MIG) welding.  over the course of two years, you'll gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in welding techniques and the properties of different materials. You'll explore the art of joining materials through cutting-edge methods like Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW). These techniques are the very same ones used by local manufacturers, paving the way for exciting career positions within the thriving industries. Students will be provided the opportunity to apply knowledge from theory-based classes to practical exercises in the lab. Students spend a significant amount of their time learning the different welding processes by welding in the lab. This well-rounded skill set will equip you with a comprehensive understanding of the entire welding process.

Mr. Dison, a dedicated welding teacher, is a proud graduate of Conway Public Schools (Class of 2013). Following his passion for welding, he pursued higher education at UACCM, earning a Technical Certificate in Welding Technology with a specialized focus in Pipe Welding and Structural Welding. With 8 years of hands-on experience in the welding industry, Cody returned to Conway with a mission to impart his extensive knowledge and expertise to the next generation of welders, fostering a legacy of skilled professionals.
