Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services

Dr. Andy Ashley began his career in 1999 as a math teacher and basketball coach with the Cabot School District. He worked as a teacher/coach/assistant principal for the Lonoke School District. Dr. Ashley worked at Vilonia High School as principal and assistant principal. He served eight years as a superintendent for the Cedar Ridge and Heber Springs Schools Districts.

A lifelong Arkansan, he holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He earned a master’s degree from Harding University and a specialist and doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas. Andy and his wife, Lauren have three children, AZ, Slayton, and Michael.

Dr. Megan Slocum Duncan

Dr. Megan Slocum Duncan

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction

Dr. Megan Duncan began her career as a substitute teacher and then as a teacher with the Bryant School District. She worked as a principal for the Wickes and Mena School Districts. She served as the Superintendent for the Wickes and Elkins School District in Northwest Arkansas. Dr. Duncan was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Education in 2013 for the Arkansas Department of Education, served as Associate Superintendent for the Springdale School District, and as Deputy Superintendent for Fayetteville Public Schools.  

She was named the 2013 Arkansas Rural Education Superintendent of the Year and 2017 Arkansas Curriculum and Instruction Administrator of the Year. Dr. Duncan also teaches university courses to assist in the development of aspiring principals and superintendents across the state of Arkansas.  Dr. Duncan has worked with communities to help build the economy and connect services for students.

Dr. Karen Lasker

Dr. Karen Lasker

Assistant Superintendent of Personnel

Dr. Karen Lasker works with all employees from recruitment to retirement. Lasker joined Conway School District in 2010 as the Principal of Bob Courtway Middle School. In July of 2017, she was promoted to Director of Personnel and now serves CPSD as the Director of Staff Recruitment and Student Services.

Prior to coming to Conway, Lasker worked at Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD in Carrollton, Texas for seven years as an Assistant Principal. She served as Assistant Principal and Teacher/Coach in Fort Smith School District and Helena-West Helena from 1988-2003.

Dr. Lasker has a Bachelor of Science in Education in Physical Education, and a Masters in Special Education and Vocational Education from the University of Central Arkansas. She received her Educational Specialist and Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Karen is a native of West Helena, Arkansas.
