communication welcome banner

At Conway Public Schools, communication with parents, students, and staff, as well as our community stakeholders is vital to our success. We strive to establish positive relationships and credibility between Conway Schools and our community through the timely and accurate dissemination of information. We use a variety of tools in order to make this happen, including our district's mobile app, school and district websites, emails, phone calls and text messages to parents and staff, electronic dissemination of flyers, social media, local news media, and marketing materials like brochures when appropriate.

The CPSD Communications Department is responsible for:

  • Distributing daily relevant and important information to district parents and staff.

  • Generating and managing communication for school closings, crisis situations, and emergency information.

  • Serving as the primary contact for media relations.

  • Managing/overseeing the district and school social media accounts as well as the district and school websites.

  • Producing internal communications (such as monthly newsletters) for staff and external communications and district marketing/promotional materials.

Our goal is for all our district communications is to provide user-friendly, well-organized, easy-to-access information about our schools that will serve our patrons well. Below are tools we use to communicate.

District Website
Our district website serves as the main hub for all communications. If you have questions or need information, our website is a great place to start to find the information you need.

Parent Messages- Automated Phone Calls
CPSD utilizes an automated voicemail to communicate critical information such as school closures, weather-related announcements, or other sensitive information.

Parent Messages- Email and Text Alerts
CPSD utilizes text messages and emails to communicate relevant information to parents and stakeholders. In the event of a crisis, time-sensitive communication may be sent via text message to parents as it is available. In many cases, the text message may direct parents to check their email or the district website for additional information.

Social Media
CPSD utilizes social media to celebrate and highlight the outstanding work we are doing in our classrooms each day. Social media is also used for occasional reminders and announcements regarding district and school events. In the event of a crisis or closure situation, parents will always be notified through a direct message (text, email, and/or phone call). Social media is not the district's primary means of communication in crisis situations.
