Conway Public Schools Deputy Superintendent Receives Prestigious State Safety Award
Conway Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Jason Black, Deputy Superintendent, has been honored with the "Safe Schools Leadership Award for the Larance Johnson Education Administrator of the Year 2024" at the Arkansas State School Safety Conference.
This esteemed award recognizes Mr. Black's outstanding contributions to school safety across the state. As Deputy Superintendent, Mr. Black has been instrumental in overseeing district operations and administrative duties, working in close collaboration with Mr. Eric King, School Resource Officers, and other school personnel to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff. His exemplary performance this year has brought the district’s safety vision to life, surpassing expectations set by the superintendent and school board.
Dr. Jeff Collum, Superintendent of Conway Public Schools, praised Mr. Black’s exceptional work after the awards ceremony. “Mr. Black has operationalized, mobilized, and implemented any necessary ideas, plans, or events to ensure our students and staff are safe. He is truly deserving of this award for his leadership, honor, integrity, and character in every aspect of his role. Conway Public Schools are fortunate to have Mr. Black as a leader in our school system,” said Dr. Collum.
