Conway Public Schools recently hosted a successful Community Movie Night, and it was a hit with students, families, and staff alike! Originally scheduled at Theodore Jones Elementary, the event was moved to Simon Middle School to accommodate the large turnout of over 200 guests — and the new location proved to be perfect.
The evening was full of laughter, snacks, and good conversation as families from five campuses — Theodore Jones, Preston & Florence Mattison, Ida Burns, Ellen Smith, and Sallie Cone — came together for a fun movie night experience. Students wore their pajamas, adding to the relaxed and fun atmosphere, and were greeted at the door by the always-energetic Wampus Cat mascots!
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Collum made his way through the crowd, chatting with families and enjoying the evening alongside them. “It’s always great to connect with our community outside the classroom,” Dr. Collum said. “Events like this give us the chance to build relationships and just enjoy being together.”
Guests enjoyed hot dogs, popcorn, and a great movie that had everyone smiling. The feedback from families has been overwhelmingly positive, and we can’t wait to bring the fun to more families in May! Until then, thank you to everyone who made this night such a special one — especially our students, parents, staff, and of course, our Wampus Cat mascots!
