Conway Public Schools is launching a districtwide strategic transformation initiative focused on growing leadership, improving student outcomes, and building a unified culture of excellence across the school system.

To support this effort, the Conway School Board has engaged Dr. Jeff D. Standridge, Managing Director of Innovation Junkie, a Conway- and Fayetteville-based consulting firm with deep expertise in organizational transformation, education innovation, and leadership development.

“This is about more than improvement—it’s about excellence,” said Sheila Franklin, School Board President. “We’re focused on ensuring every student receives the high-quality education they deserve, and that begins with strong leadership, clear priorities, and accountability at every level.”

Over the next six months, Dr. Standridge and his team will work alongside CPSD district leaders, building administrators, and the Board to focus on:

  • Fostering a Culture of Excellence rooted in strong leadership, clarity, and accountability

  • Improving critical learning outcomes through leadership, collaboration and system-wide alignment

  • Creating a long-term strategic plan that positions Conway Public Schools as a nationally competitive district

  • Engaging stakeholders and strengthening communication across all levels of the district

Jason Black, Interim Superintendent of Conway Public Schools, shared his support for the initiative:

“This is a chance for us to grow together as a team and sharpen our focus on what matters most—our students. We have incredible people in this district, and by working together with intentionality and purpose, we can continue building a school system that serves every student well. I’m excited for the work ahead and confident in the direction we’re heading.”

The district encourages staff, parents, and community members to stay engaged and informed as this important work unfolds.
