The Conway High School Band's Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band performed at the Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association's State Concert Contest on Tuesday, April 14th in Cabot.
Having won the DD-7A (2nd bands) classification last year, the Symphonic Band performed as the Honor Ensemble in that classification this year and earned a 1st Division Rating. As the honor ensemble, Symphonic Band was ineligible for ranked competition this year.
The Wind Symphony performed in Class 7A (1st bands), earning a 1st Division Rating and was named the state runner-up "Reserve Honor Ensemble" for the 2nd consecutive year.
The Conway High School Band has become one of the most decorated programs in the state and has developed a reputation of superior musicianship and artistry.
