PUBLIC NOTICE OF VACANCY

CONWAY BOARD OF EDUCATION — AT-LARGE POSITION

The Conway Board of Education is issuing a public notice seeking qualified applicants to fill a vacancy in the At-Large position. The Board will appoint an individual to serve in this position until the next school election in March 2028.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants for the At-Large position must be registered voters residing within the boundaries of the Conway School District.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit:

• Petition: A petition expressing the applicant’s intention to be considered for appointment, signed by at least 20 qualified electors residing within the Conway School District.

• Résumé: A current résumé explaining the applicant’s interest in serving on the Board of Education and their relevant qualifications.

Holiday Closure Note: District Offices are closed November 21–29, 2026 for Thanksgiving Break. During the break, applications must be submitted via email.

APPOINTMENT MEETING

The Conway Board of Education will meet to appoint an individual to fill the vacant At-Large position on:

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2026, AT 6:00 P.M.

• Applicants will be given a minimum of five minutes to present their candidacy to the Board and then the Board will ask questions of each candidate.

• All interviews and deliberations will take place in the public meeting.

Voter Registration Verification: Applicants may verify their voter registration status through Arkansas VoterView.
