Mrs. Dube’s 5th graders took on counterclaims using the DR. MO strategy from Writing On Command! ✍️

Students kicked things off by sketching what they imagined DR. MO looks like, then dove into the purpose of a counterclaim by analyzing and labeling an example together. As a class, they wrote their own counterclaim and kept the learning going by practicing in groups.
