Community Service Hours

Pursuant of Act 237 of 2023, AR LEARNS, there is a new graduation requirement for our current 9th grade students along with all future 9th grade classes in the State of Arkansas.


Students will be required to earn 75 hours total by the time they graduate High School.  The suggested hours for each year are listed below.  These are only suggested amounts for each year, more or less may be earned, with the total accumulation being 75 hours by the end of their Senior year.

9th grade year - 15 or more hours

10th grade year - 20 or more hours

11th grade year - 20 or more hours

12th grade year - 20 or more hours


There will be School Sponsored Events that will offer volunteer hours.  These hours will be turned in by the teachers and staff to counselors.  Students will receive a certificate for the hours earned for each event, for their records.


For our Outside of School Events, the following document(s) will be required for hours to be counted. These documents will also be available in the front office as well as various places within the school for students to access.  Listed below are the documents for your convenience Choose the one best suited for the student's situation, click on the link to view and print documents.


Outside School Events:

Multiple Hours of Service Log- this is for students that have several hours earned at one particular place

Single Event - this is for a single event a student attends

Community Event- this is for an outside event where several students participate.

These hours can begin after the last day of their 8th grade year.  This means they can begin earning hours the summer before their 9th grade year.
