Important Reminder: Car Line Procedure
Please note that car line officially ends at 8:00 AM. At that time, staff members will go inside, the doors will be locked, and instruction will begin. Any students arriving after 8:00 AM must be walked in by a parent and signed in at the front office. These students will be marked tardy, even if they were waiting in the car line.
To ensure a smooth and efficient drop-off, we ask that 4-6 cars unload students at a time, rather than just the three cars directly in front of the school. Please help your child have their coat and backpack ready, so they can exit the car quickly and safely.
Thank you for your cooperation in making car line smoother for everyone!

HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER
Ellen Smith is partnering with Texas Roadhouse for a great fundraising opportunity. All gift cards can be used at any Texas Roadhouse locations and 10% of all gift card sales will be given back to Ellen Smith.
This is a great way to support our school and enjoy good food or give the gift of good food! There are also some great prizes that our Conway Texas Roadhouse location is providing for all students who participate, top 3 students and top classroom sales.
Order forms will be sent home this week and need to be returned to school no later than Monday, December 1st. The gift cards will be delivered back to the school before break, so that you can give as gifts or enjoy over Christmas break.

According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, school-age children need the following amount of sleep for optimal health and development:
ages 3–5 years old: 10–13 hours (including naps)
Ages 6-12: 9-12 hours of sleep per night
Ages 13-18: 8-10 hours of sleep per night
Research suggests that a bedtime between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. is ideal for elementary age children, depending on their morning wake-up time.
Establishing a bedtime routine that includes calming activities, such as reading or quiet conversation, can help children wind down and prepare for a restful night's sleep. Consistent bedtimes also help reinforce their internal body clock, making it easier for them to fall asleep and wake up naturally.

Hello Parents,
I want to personally thank all the families who have already participated in our SchoolStore program! We are on our way to reaching our goal, but we need everyone's help to make sure our teachers get the essential tools they need to help our students succeed.
If your family has not participated, there's still time and it doesn't cost anything to participate
This safe and easy program is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.
Please help now. It really will make a difference.
Go to https://www.schoolstore.net/sid.t?0000139515 to show our valued teachers your support.
Thanks
Ellen Smith Elementary School
P.S. Family participation is the key to our success, and we are counting on you!
