Conway Family, it is that time! Our High School Lady Cat Volleyball team will be in the drop off line tomorrow morning (October 9th) to collect change for their Pink Night Recipient, Emmersyn Caldwell! Get your change ready and help us  support Emmersyn!
Emmersyn is a 9th grader at Conway Junior High School. She was a member of the Conway Junior High Volleyball team when she began to experience joint pain. After blood work, she was diagnosed with Leukemia and began chemo treatments in May of this year. Emmersyn is still fighting and undergoing treatment.

Happy National Instructional Coaches Day! Today we are celebrating our phenomenal Instructional Coaches. They work side by side with our educators, sharing creative strategies and tools to help our classrooms thrive.

📢 4th Grade Families — Important Update!

The 4th grade field trip scheduled for tomorrow, October 2, has been CANCELED. Please make plans for your child to attend a regular school day tomorrow.

🍧 Kona Ice is still happening! Students may still sign up, but the deadline is 9:00 PM TONIGHT! Be sure to get your order in before the deadline if your child would like to participate.

📚 ATLAS Interim Testing is coming up! ✏️🐾

Please help our Little Cats do their very best by making sure they:

😴 Get a good night’s sleep
🥞 Eat a good breakfast
⏰ Arrive at school on time — testing begins at 8:30 a.m.
🏫 Avoid checking out before 12:00 p.m. on testing days, if possible

Thank you for helping our students come to school rested, ready, and confident! 💙🐾 We know our Little Cats will do their best!

💗 Change for a Cause! 💗

On the morning of October 9, some special student-athletes will be joining us in the car line to collect change for their annual Pink Night fundraiser! 🎀

Each year, the team chooses a community member (or members) who is fighting cancer and raises money to help support them. We are so proud to be a small part of this meaningful tradition! 💕

As you come through the car line that morning, bring your coins, change, or a few dollars and help us fill those buckets! 🪙💵 Every little bit adds up when a community comes together.

Join us TONIGHT, Thursday, September 17th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Conway High School Lecture Hall. Our district leaders will share how we’re serving students, supporting our staff, and continuing to strengthen our community.

We’re also excited to provide updates on our strategic plan, Project Conway Forward (PC4W), which is dedicated to enhancing educational experiences and outcomes for all our students. You’ll hear about our initiatives, progress, and how we envision our future together.

This is a great opportunity to engage, ask questions, and be part of the conversation as we work towards our shared goals. Your voice matters, and we’d love to see you there!

GIFTED & TALENTED REFERRALS ARE NOW OPEN

Fall Testing Cycle

Students currently in 3rd grade or above may be referred for Gifted & Talented consideration. A referral begins the evaluation process and does not guarantee identification.

A student may benefit from referral when they learn quickly and make meaningful connections, think deeply, creatively, or in unusual ways, show advanced reasoning, curiosity, or problem-solving, or need greater depth, complexity, or academic challenge.

No special preparation is needed. Gifted & Talented identification is based on multiple measures.

IMPORTANT DATES

Teacher Referral Deadline: September 23, 2026

Parent Referral Deadline: September 25, 2026

Parent Permission to Test Deadline: September 25, 2026

Fall Testing Window: September 28–October 9, 2026
