A heartfelt thanks to each of the ladies from Anticoch church group and the retired teachers of Vann for your generous support in helping provide Mother’s Day gifts for our students. Your kindness and willingness to give truly made a difference and brought joy to so many.
Because of your efforts, our students were able to honor the special women in their lives in a meaningful way, and that’s a gift they’ll always remember.
Last night Mr. Coatney and Mrs. New attended the school board meeting to accept an award on behalf of our school. The Office of Educational Policy has recognized Vann as a school achieving high levels of growth in reading & writing. Today is Wakanda Wednesday of our superhero-themed Teacher Appreciation Week and it was a huge treat for Vann teachers to enjoy an authentic African meal provided by the Baoua family. In addition, the Baouas set up an African black soap and shea butter bar for teachers to create personally-scented products to take home. What an amazing gift from an amazing Vann family! We think the Baouas are superheroes! #beincredible
