Here's today's coin competition update! We have two more days and EVERY PENNY COUNTS!

Happy Principals's Day to the one and only Mrs. New! We are so lucky to have her leading our school!

The weather is warming up, and it is a great time to get out to explore Conway's great parks! Use the list below to visit a park that you might not have visited before. Send in pictures from your adventure to MVESocial@conwayschools.info to have it posted on Vann's social media! #sailing2success #pictureinthepark #kidstoparks2024

It's May, the busiest month of the school year! Stay informed about all the fun with our family newsletter! See it at: https://www.canva.com/design/DAGDzgkEUw4/pC2IkDau9e8xv70T1EncAQ/view?utm_content=DAGDzgkEUw4&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=editor

It's a tight race in our May Madness coin competition! We've exceeded $500 raised, and the Navigators have a narrow lead! Students, you have a few more days to bring your pennies and dollars to ADD points to your team, or silver coins to SUBTRACT points from another team!

The skies were clear and it was a beautiful day for conversations, sliding, basketball, swinging, and picking up trash! Yay for the ☀️!

Toad races were so much fun today! Congrats to our Toad Race Winners! Kiyron will get to go to Toad Suck to race for an apple ipad for him and his teacher!

The second and final week of our coin competition has begun! Remember pennies and bills ADD to point totals, and silver coins SUBTRACT from point totals. Bring your money tomorrow to help your team or sabatoge another team! We ALL win when all proceeds go toward our FANTASTIC end-of-year event, May Madness!

During Viking Day, 4th graders went on a nature scavenger hunt and then made some unique creations with what they found!

The Viking Day challenge was to build a 6 inch tall structure from paper strong enough to hold one book. These second graders more than met the challenge!

It's looking like it will be a great night to pick up a pizza for dinner and support our school!

On this rainy morning, some fourth graders decided to have a virtual campfire and flashlight read.

A few weeks ago Kindergartners learned how to make solar ovens by reading a book. Yesterday, they sequenced the steps by referencing the text, and then had to reason with new materials how to make their own with 4th grade helpers. Made the teachers do some thinking, too! #sailing2success

Second graders had a fun day of hands-on learning at the Farm Roundup! #sailing2success

Today we celebrated Vann's Spring 2024 interns with a "new teacher shower." Mentor teachers provided snacks, and the staff stuffed baskets of teacher essentials for each intern. Ms. Perry, Ms. Mingione, Ms. Perkins, Coach Petroff, and Ms. Bankhead have served the students of Vann well this semester, and we wish them the best in their teaching careers!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Year and Teacher of the year! Mrs. Hart and Ms. Etter are two amazing people that we have working at Marguerite Vann and well deserving of this honor!

“Mrs. Coles class painted with shaving cream today!”

Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner! We are collecting gift cards to give away to our amazing staff that week. Our goal is for every teacher to win a card because they ALL deserve it! Sign up here to help: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050945AAAF22A3FB6-48967761-teacher
