Fire Prevention Day at Mattison! Last week our students learned all about fire safety during Fire Prevention Day! Kindergarten and 1st-grade students enjoyed a fun and educational puppet show, while our local firefighters brought their popular Smoke House — giving students a hands-on experience practicing how to safely exit a house in case of a fire. A big thank you to our amazing firefighters for teaching our students important safety skills and making learning so much fun! Congratulations to Mrs. Spence for receiving a $1,000 grant from the Conway Public School Foundation. The grant was written for an outdoor classroom. Classroom Without Walls is an innovative mobile outdoor learning lab designed to improve student engagement, academic achievement, and well-being by bringing the classroom outside. Equipped with kid-friendly seating, reusable writing tablets, hands-on math and science tools, and a portable voice amplifier, this setup will empower teachers to transform any outdoor space into a dynamic, standards-based instructional environment. Thanks Mrs. Spence for thinking of ways to help our school be successful.

CPSD Bell to Bell No Cell At Conway Public Schools Elementaries, we believe school is a place for students to learn, grow, and build good relationships with others. To help keep our classrooms focused and follow state guidelines, students should not use personal electronic devices during the school day. This includes cell phones, AirPods, wireless headphones, and smartwatches. We ask that all devices be turned off and kept in backpacks during school hours. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zCxMNvvsVQ_hgOIKS4pN600w0UbEZrePZnpkNxQZAsA/edit?usp=sharing
