Last Friday, students from Mrs. Chen's Chinese classes visited UCA to celebrate UN Chinese Language Day! 🀄 They had the opportunity to connect with Chinese professors and CHS alumni who are now majoring or minoring in Chinese at UCA. Highlights of the visit included a fun Chinese Jeopardy game with college students and a delicious Chinese lunch provided by UCA. It was a wonderful day of language learning, cultural exchange, and inspiration for students exploring the Chinese language and culture! 🚍🌏✨💯

In addition to making great music, the orchestra continued their longstanding tradition of honoring their senior class (most of whom have been in orchestra for seven years!). 🎉 The Conway High School Band made program history this week! 🎶🏅 At the State Concert Contest, the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band were both the highest ranked bands within their classification and both earned the State Sweepstakes Award 🥇 for first division ratings in Marching 🥁 and Concert Band 🎺.
Additionally, the Wind Symphony was named the Reserve Honor Ensemble for Class 7A 🏆. To top it off, the Symphonic Band won their class for the 2nd time in contest history and was named the Class DDD/DD Honor Ensemble 🥳🎖️!
We are beyond proud of the students and their tireless commitment to giving artistic and moving performances 🎼✨. They represent the best of Conway 💙 and the entire state of Arkansas 🌟!
