Congratulations to CHS Senior, Landon Harvey, for being named a National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American!
The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction within the NSDA Honor Society by competing in speech and debate events at tournaments; completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Fewer than 2% of National Speech & Debate Association student members earn the Academic All American award every year. This honor is an indicator of Landon’s academic achievement and competitive success.
Landon is a 3 year member of the CHS Speech & Debate Team. Landon competes in Congressional Debate, along with being on the Student Congress team. Upon graduation, Landon will be attending the University of Central Arkansas. Landon is coached by Mrs. Casey Griffith.

The CHS Science Department offers 15 different science courses, including on-level, AP, accelerated, concurrent semester, and advanced semester courses, giving students countless opportunities to explore and excel. 🧪
Many of our science teachers have traveled the world—from Costa Rica and Italy to Canada and Puerto Rico—bringing diverse perspectives into their teaching. ✈️ Beyond the classroom, our educators shine with accomplishments like running nonprofits, creating CHS spring musical costumes, winning state fiddle championships, and launching programs at CHS like Science Helper. Their dedication has earned multiple Teacher of the Year awards and other honors, making the CHS Science Department a launching pad for future scientists and innovators. 🌿
