Premier Distinction is the highest degree in the NSDA Honor Society! This is an outstanding achievement. Fewer than 3% of NSDA members earn Premier Distinction prior to graduation! This milestone is a celebration of the hundreds of hours Addison has spent preparing, practicing, and competing to hone her communication and leadership skills. Along with earning Premier Distinction, Addison is also an NSDA Academic All-American.
Addison is a 3-year member of the CHS Speech & Debate team and has competed across the state of Arkansas, along with Philadelphia, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi. Addison competes in Lincoln-Douglas debate, Informative Speaking, Student Congress and is a 3-year member of our Mock Trial team.

On Saturday, February 7th, the CJHS & CHS Asian Club, in partnership with the Faulkner County Library, local Chinese community members, and the UCA Center for Asian Languages and Cultures, proudly hosted Conway’s 2nd Lunar New Year Celebration.
With approximately 200 attendees, the event was filled with energy, learning, and fun! Families enjoyed interactive stations featuring dumpling-making, Chinese calligraphy, crafts, chopsticks games, and more. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse.
A heartfelt thank-you to the Faulkner County Library for providing the space and incredible support that helped make this event possible. We are also grateful for our amazing team of 20 student volunteers from Conway High School and Conway Junior High School, along with 14 local Chinese community members, whose enthusiasm and dedication made the celebration such a success.
Special thanks to our generous supporters:
🥟 Sakura Ocean A.Y.C.E. Sushi & Hibachi (coming soon) for the $200 donation supporting the dumpling station
🧋 Boba Love for donating nearly 200 cups of boba tea
🍩 Shimmery Donut for donating 50 dozen donut holes
Events like this truly highlight the cultural vibrancy of our community and the growing excitement for Chinese culture and language. Interested in learning more? Join our Chinese program or the Asian Club! 🌏❤️

The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction within the NSDA Honor Society by competing in speech and debate events at tournaments; completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Fewer than 2% of National Speech & Debate Association student members earn the Academic All American award every year.
This honor is an indicator of Naomi’s academic achievement and competitive success.
Naomi is a 3 year member of the CHS Speech & Debate Team. Naomi competes in Program of Oral Interpretation, Poetry & Prose Interpretation, Original Oratory, and Mock Trial.

Congratulations to all of the talented CHS students who have earned a place in All State Choir and All State Band! This incredible achievement reflects dedication, discipline, and a true passion for music.
Best wishes at the All State Conference — represent CHS with pride and enjoy every moment of this well-deserved honor! 👏🎶
