Congratulations to CHS Senior Ian Lee-Kim for earning Premier Distinction within the National Speech & Debate Association's Honor Society.

Premier Distinction is the highest degree in the NSDA Honor Society! This is an outstanding achievement. Fewer than 3% of NSDA members earn Premier Distinction prior to graduation! This milestone is a celebration of the hundreds of hours Ian has spent preparing, practicing, and competing to hone his communication and leadership skills. Along with earning Premier Distinction, Ian is also an NSDA Academic All-American.

Ian is a 3-year member of the CHS Speech & Debate team and has competed across the state of Arkansas, along with Philadelphia, Iowa, Kentucky, and Virginia. Ian competes in Congressional Debate, Mock Trial, Student Congress and Original Oratory.

Congratulations to CHS Senior, Callie Wesbecher, for being named a National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American!

The Academic All American award recognizes high school students who have earned the degree of Superior Distinction within the NSDA Honor Society by competing in speech and debate events at tournaments; completed at least 5 semesters of high school; demonstrated outstanding character and leadership; and earned a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Fewer than 2% of National Speech & Debate Association student members earn the Academic All American award every year. This honor is an indicator of Ian’s academic achievement and competitive success.

Callie is a 3 year member of the CHS Speech & Debate Team. Callie competes in Congressional Debate, along with Student Congress and Mock Trial (Philadelphia). Upon graduation, Callie will be attending Central Baptist College.

🤖 Robotics in Action!

The Conway High School Robotics Club kicked off their season at Fayetteville High School this past Saturday, November 8 — and what a start! All three teams advanced to the elimination rounds! 🎉 We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, teamwork, and ingenuity these students bring to the table. 💡✨

They’re already back in the workshop, fine-tuning their robots for the next challenge.

And speaking of challenges… mark your calendars! 🗓 This Saturday, November 15, Conway Robotics will host the Turkey Throwdown Robotics Tournament 🦃⚙️ — welcoming high school robotics teams from across the state right here in the Conway High Cafeteria. Come cheer on our teams and witness some high-tech action in person!
