The CHS Spanish Club held its first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 18. About 17 students attended to learn about the club’s purposes, vote for officers, and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by creating colorful Mexican paper flowers. Members also enjoyed delicious snacks including coffee, juice, and traditional cookies.
We’re excited for all the activities ahead this year—¡vamos, Spanish Club! ✨

Information regarding tomorrow's football games at LR Southwest. 8th grade game will start at 5:00 followed by the 9th grade game. Gates will open at 5:00. Fans will enter through the front gate. Tickets can only be purchased on line prior to game day and must be done before 4:00 on game day using the link below. All students must be accompanied by a parent per LRSD Policy.

One clear, one-gallon plastic freezer bag (Ziploc-style).
One small clutch (no larger than 4.5" x 6.5") for personal items.
Medically necessary items will be permitted after proper inspection.
Phones, cameras, and binoculars may be carried outside of a bag or case.

Brigadier General Chad Bridges, Secretary of the Arkansas Department of Military and The Adjutant General of Arkansas, visited campus last week to personally congratulate Dr. Worley and our JROTC program for having the highest number of recruits for the Arkansas National Guard in the state. 💪👏
General Bridges was joined by SSG Rob Rankin and SFC Matt Reynolds during the visit. We are proud of our JROTC students and their outstanding accomplishments! 💙✨

Congratulations to Ella Kate Brown, Lainey King, Blaine Horton, Libby Anne Brown, Henderson Ealy, Brianna Moseley, Braelynn Carter, Lane Leavell, Madison Hartsfield, and Kanika Lep for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding awards, including over $7,000 earned in the Junior Livestock Auction!
These students will continue their competition season at the Arkansas Youth Expo in Fayetteville and the Arkansas State Fair in October. We are so proud of all of our FFA members and can’t wait to cheer them on at these upcoming events!
