We're answering another frequently asked question to help families prepare for a successful school year.
Next question: What time does the car rider line close? 🚗
Check out the graphic below for the details! During the first few days of school, the car rider line may take a little longer as everyone settles into their routines. Once those routines are established, the drive-through car rider line will close at 3:40 p.m.
If your child has not been picked up by then, they will be taken to the front office, and a parent or guardian will need to park and come into the building to sign them out.
Thank you for your patience and partnership as we work together to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for all of our Little Cats! 💙

We're back with another answer to one of our most frequently asked questions as we prepare for the new school year.
Today's question: If my student is a car rider, how early can they be dropped off? 🚗
Check out the graphic below for the details! Car riders should be dropped off on the south side of the building, and school personnel will be on duty beginning at 7:20 a.m. to assist students. For the safety of all of our Little Cats, please do not drop students off before staff members are on duty.
Thank you for helping us keep arrival safe and smooth each morning! 💙

We're continuing our Q&A series by answering another common question from our CLE families.
Next Question: Can my child ride the bus home with a friend? 🚌
Check out the graphic below for the answer! Per CPSD transportation procedures, students may not ride a bus if they do not live on that bus's assigned route. This policy helps ensure the safety of all of our students.
Thank you for helping us keep our Little Cats safe each and every day! 💙

As we get ready for an amazing school year, we're answering some of the questions families ask most often.
Our next question: What do I need to complete to make sure the school has everything it needs for this school year?
Check out the graphic below for a helpful checklist! From updating your contact information and getting a new car rider tag to completing the Free & Reduced Lunch application and letting your child's teacher know about dismissal plans, these simple steps will help us start the year smoothly.
Thank you for partnering with us as we get ready to welcome our Little Cats back to CLE! 💙

Have a question about Carolyn Lewis Elementary? We're here to help! Prior to the start of the school year, we'll be sharing answers to some of the most common questions families ask to help everyone get ready for a great year at CLE.
Our first question: Can I send birthday invitations to my child's teacher to distribute? 🎉
Check out the graphic below for the answer! As a reminder, birthday invitations may only be distributed at school if every student in the class receives one. Invitations for students outside of the homeroom class may not be distributed.
We hope this new series helps keep everyone informed and makes preparing for the new school year a little easier! 💙
