Please mark your calendars for our school musicals taking place on November 7th! In preparation for our Veteran’s Day-themed musicals, Mrs. Parker is collecting photos of our students’ veteran family members to include in a special musical tribute. If you have a family member (whether past or present) who has served in the military, we would love to honor them in our programs. Please have all photos turned in by October 17th. Please email their military photo to parkerk@conwayschools.info with the following information:
1. Veteran Name & Military Branch (include military title if possible)
2. Relationship to Student (father of _____ , aunt of ____, etc.)
3. Service Information (can include details such as time served, honors received, wars served in, etc.)

🍪Friday was a BIG day in First Grade. 🍪 For the last few weeks, they have been learning all about our government (local, state, and national), government services, and how our leaders are voted in! They had their first Great Cookie Election! As if eating cookies all morning wasn't cool enough, OUR MAYOR, Mr. Bart Castleberry joined them for the fun! After tasting each cookie, each kiddo made a tough decision and voted for their favorite cookie to be their official Class Cookie! Ms. Wahrer's Class Cookie: OREO! Mrs. Dye's Class Cookie: OREO! Mrs. Dowdy's Class Cookie: Chocolate Chip!

After learning about grams and kilograms, 3rd grade students worked in small groups to estimate the mass in grams of classroom objects. The students then met back with their teacher and the whole group to check the actual weight in grams using a scale. Great work 3rd grade!
