JSE: Parents, I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed up to help out with the parent teacher conference meal. It filled up within the first couple hours of it being sent out and that is just amazing!! If you missed the chance to help out with this, we have teacher appreciation coming up May 6-10 and will need LOTS of help. If that is something you would like to learn more about and curious then send me an email with your name and contact information and I will make sure to include anyone who wants for those meetings. JSE: Hi, parents! PTO will provide a meal for the Jim Stone staff during parent-teacher conferences on the evening of March 26th. The teachers stay after school that day and meet with parents all evening, so they are at the school through dinner time. We will be setting up a taco/nacho bar for them and will need some help providing toppings/condiments. Please have all items turned in to the front office by March 25th or the morning of the 26th, and write PTO on it. Any help is greatly appreciated! On Tuesday, March 12 from 5pm-9pm, Doble Mexican Cafe will be hosting a fundraiser for Jim Stone Elementary who will give all proceeds to Make-a-Wish. Mention the fundraiser when ordering and 20% will be donated.

JSE: Good morning! We have a lot going on in the coming weeks! March 4-8 is Read Across America Week and we have a lot of fun dress up days that week. March 5 is Jim Stone Math Night. On Friday, March 8, we will have a storybook character parade at 8:15. Students will dress up like their favorite storybook characters and if weather permits, parade on the track. If it rains, we will parade in the halls of the school. Parents are welcome to attend! ❄️Inclement Weather make up day information ❄️ Conway Public Schools will not be in session, as planned, on February 19, 2024 in observance of President's day. The District will be seeking waiver approval from the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education to transition the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year to serve minutes versus days. This would allow the current published calendar to remain intact and not add additional days to the end of the school year. Any future inclement weather days will be evaluated. More information will be shared after the waiver has been approved or denied.
