Step into Christmas Movie Magic, enter through the 3rd-grade hallway and be transported into the world of classic Christmas Hollywood films. Don’t miss the stunning decorations before heading outside to enjoy the games around the track. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Meet adorable animals at our mini-farm roundup. Capture the magic with a photo with Santa, located in the cafeteria. Browse and bid on the unique custom artwork created by our talented Jim Stone students at the silent auction table near the games. Grab a free hot dog, popcorn, chips, and water. Don’t miss this magical afternoon full of holiday spirit! See you at Winterfest on Sunday from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

At Winterfest, we will be auctioning custom artwork completed by every student at Jim Stone Elementary! Ms. Johnson and all 335 students at JSE have worked all semester on a 36X48 canvas to create a unique and beautiful Christmas painting. The collaboration and different styles make this one-of-a-kind piece such a special memento for any Jim Stone family.
We will have the auction set up near the games. Be sure to stop by and bid! The winnings will go to the new playground equipment.

Grandparents and other “grand” adults are very important people in children’s lives. Children feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they know that people in their extended family and community are vested in their education. So, we are having a special celebration!
We’re inviting the grandparents of our students to an event on Friday, November 22nd. This event is intended for students and their grandparents or a special “grandfriend.” We understand that all children don’t have grandparents and that some grandparents will be unable to attend. We encourage these children to invite another special friend - - like a relative, an aunt/uncle or any “grand” friend. Woodland Heights will also have volunteer “grandfriends” here. Some children are also happy to share their grandparents with a classmate. Sorry but our space is limited, so parents and siblings cannot attend this event with their student’s guests. A parent can however attend if they are the student’s “grandfriend” for the day.
Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students will spend time with their guests in the classroom. Refreshments will be served. After classroom time, children are welcome to visit our annual book fair with their special guest.
We welcome all of our guests to spend some time with your children this day! If you plan on allowing your child to check out, please email your child’s teacher. Also, due to space and parking we will not be able to host lunch guests this day.
The schedule for each grade is listed below:
K - 9:15-10:00
1st - 10:05-10:50
2nd - 12:30-1:15
3rd - 8:25-9:10
4th - 11:00-11:4
