Conway Public Schools celebrated our 2025 retirees yesterday with a special luncheon recognizing 25 incredible individuals who have dedicated their lives to education—some with over 36 years of service to CPSD!
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Collum shared words of gratitude and encouragement, reminding retirees that they’ve “run the race well,” made a lasting difference, and have an exciting new chapter ahead.
👏 To those who attended—and those who couldn’t—thank you for your years of service. You will always be part of the Wampus Cat Family!

The May Madness fun has begun!!
May Madness is Monday!! Here is a checklist for your child to make sure they are ready to go MAD on Monday!
Play clothes that can get wet and dirty. An old swimsuit can be worn underneath!
Shoes that can get wet! Please do not send your child with flip-flops or shoes in which they cannot run safely.
Sunscreen to protect their skin
Towel to dry off with
A sack lunch (if possible) to help lunch go smoothly
A positive attitude to have so much fun
Vann families, this week is your final opportunity to complete our parent survey. We serve over 250 families and our goal is to hear from at least 50 regarding our school's strengths and weakenesses. Tomorrow (Monday, 5/12) is the FINAL DAY of our May Madness Coin Battle! Send coins or bills to school with your student, drop it off in the office, or give on CashApp ($mvepto; put student's name & team name in "for" line). All money will be counted at 12:00 noon and our winner announced at the end of the day! Will it be the Striking Vikings, Hirdmen, or Navigators throwing water balloons at Mrs. New, Mr. Coatney, and Coach H??? #beincredible
Kindergarten parents, please join us one week from today for our end-of-year program celebrating the completion of your student's kindergarten year of school! We'll gather in the Vann cafeteria at 1:30 for a short performance and refreshments. Please enter at the front of the school. #beincredible
It was a beautiful day for a Vann tradition! The staff faced off against Mrs. Clardy's 4th grade class for our annual staff vs. students kickball game. It was a close one but the staff came out on top! What a fun way to end our week! #beincredible

Because of your efforts, our students were able to honor the special women in their lives in a meaningful way, and that’s a gift they’ll always remember.
Last night Mr. Coatney and Mrs. New attended the school board meeting to accept an award on behalf of our school. The Office of Educational Policy has recognized Vann as a school achieving high levels of growth in reading & writing.
