🗣️ Oral language 🗣️ is the process of learning how to communicate ideas through spoken words. Parents, teachers, and other adults can support oral language development by encouraging children to engage in purposeful conversations. Use these Would You Rather questions in the car, around the table, or at other times during your summer routine to make growing your student's oral language skills fun (and funny!)

Summer learning isn't just for students! Today Vann teachers and staff started the first of two summer book studies. First up, we're reading The Missing Link to Help Them Think by Marilee Sprenger. We will use Google Classroom to discuss what we learn from this book and how it can make us better educators!

Hey, Vann family adults...do you remember participating in the Pizza Hut "Book It!" program when you were in school? Since 1984, this program has helped turn reading progress into delicious pizza, and this year it debuts a new, easy to use app for tracking reading adventures. Get your child signed up for "BOOK IT! Summer of Stories" by downloading the app and setting a June reading goal by June 1. Then, every page they turn will bring them closer to earning a monthly pizza reward!
