Congrats to Kaden R. and Jayden J. for finishing the Intermediate Orchestra Skill Mastery Challenge! They completed a whole series of new notes, rhythms, bowing styles, and scales designed to last the whole school year in just a few months, and are the first 7th graders in the whole district to do so!! They have earned the recognition as "Orchestra Champions!"

The Conway Public Schools Orchestra program presents its annual "La Fiesta Orquesta” event on Monday, November 13, featuring the nearly 300 students of the orchestra program in free concerts throughout the night in the James H. Clark Auditorium. In addition, a taco supper fundraiser is held in the Conway HS Cafeteria from 5-8 pm. Tickets to the dinner are on sale now and can be purchased from any orchestra student, and donations and ticket purchases can also be made online at conwayorch.square.site. This year we are partnering with Tacos4Life, so every meal purchased raises funds for the orchestra AND provides a meal to a person in need! We hope you’ll support these amazing students and come hear them play!!

So proud of Kaden R., cello, and Jayden J., viola for representing RDMS this weekend at the Arkansas South Region Orchestra clinic! They earned their spots by competitive audition a few weeks ago and have been working with a guest clinician and the top music students from all over central and southern Arkansas to prepare a concert. Way to go!!

The RDMS Dance will be Oct. 27 from 6-8. Students may wear their Halloween costumes, their attire must be within school dress code. The dance will cost $5 at the door, there will also be concessions for sell.
