📣 Welcome, Mrs. Lindsey Jones! 🎉
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Lindsey Jones as the new principal of Woodrow Cummins Elementary and into our WCE family!
Mrs. Jones brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this new role. She has been a part of the Conway Public Schools family since 2010. Most recently Mrs. Jones served as the assistant principal for Carolyn Lewis Elementary. She also has previous experience as a third and fourth grade teacher at Theodore Jones and Marguerite Vann Elementary, as well as, taking on various leadership roles along the way. Her peers recognized her commitment to excellence by naming her Teacher of the Year in both 2017 and 2021.
Mrs. Jones is passionate about making a difference and is guided by one clear goal: to be exactly who the students in her care need. She is a tireless advocate for children and truly lives out our district motto—Every Child, Every Day, Whatever It Takes.
Please join us in giving Mrs. Jones a warm WCE welcome! 💙

Last week in Science, Mrs. Harrison’s 3rd classes created “The Big Mix Up!” They took an animal out of its natural ecosystem and had to make adaptations for them to survive in a new one. They got pretty creative!! #wcelions

Mrs. Rogoff’s class had a fun time being teachers for the day. They each had the opportunity to teach a lesson of their choice to the class. #wcelions

Third Grade had a ball at their bash today!

🎓💙 Honoring a Legacy of Service 💙🎓
Conway Public Schools celebrated our 2025 retirees yesterday with a special luncheon recognizing 25 incredible individuals who have dedicated their lives to education—some with over 36 years of service to CPSD!
Superintendent Dr. Jeff Collum shared words of gratitude and encouragement, reminding retirees that they’ve “run the race well,” made a lasting difference, and have an exciting new chapter ahead.
👏 To those who attended—and those who couldn’t—thank you for your years of service. You will always be part of the Wampus Cat Family!

We have had a lot more sickness than usual for this time of year, so we need to make sure we are still encouraging students to wash their hands well with soap! It is the BEST way to prevent the spread of illness.

We are so excited to be able to present the Make-a-Wish Foundation with a $1400 donation from the profits of the Boots and Beauties Dance and Mother+Son baseball event!

Congratulations to our WCE students who placed in Crawl, Drag, and Squirt at Toad Suck Daze. #wcelions

Mrs. Kuykendall’s and Mrs. Hill’s classes had a shockingly good time learning about static electricity. They used a balloon to create a charge that made their hair stand up! #wcelions

Kindergarten had a mystery reader today! She loves to read and the color yellow. Our mystery reader was Princess Belle! She told us all about her love for reading, her castle in France and her journey to Woodrow Cummins!
Kindergarten loves Belle!
