Today, Mrs. Tell and her Culinary Arts students had the pleasure of hosting a special "Guest Chef," none other than Mrs. Capri Salaam, distinguished as the Arkansas Teacher of the Year and an expert in the art of Gumbo. The students wrapped up their in-depth exploration of the history and intricate process behind everything Gumbo, culminating in an engaging and flavorful lab session. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Krebbs Brothers in NRL for their generous donation of an industrial rice cooker to enhance Mrs. Tell's program. This invaluable addition allowed the students to pair perfectly cooked rice with the Gumbo, creating a delicious dish that truly elevated the culinary experience. Your support contributes significantly to the success and growth of our culinary education initiatives.
