CPSD is hosting two upcoming workshops to gather community input on student behavior support. Parents, guardians, and community members are invited to share feedback and ideas that will help us better support our students.

Courtway Middle School is proud to welcome Kathleen Wilcox to our team as a special education teacher! 🍎✨

With 32 years of teaching experience, Kathleen has taught every grade level from kindergarten to 9th grade in private, charter, public, and even an overseas school. She loves helping students and co-workers, especially witnessing those exciting “ahhh moments” when a student finally understands or solves a problem. 💡📚

Outside the classroom, Kathleen enjoys canning sweet and spicy hot jelly, reading, painting, drawing, and crafting. She hopes to start weekly painting classes after school begins. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her kids, Josiah and KeriAnna. 💙

As a reminder, CPSD students are expected to follow our “Bell to Bell, No Cell” expectations during the school day.

📌 A student is not considered to be in possession of a personal electronic device if:

• It’s stored in their bag (and not accessed),

• It’s stored in a locker (and not accessed), or

• It’s stored in their vehicle (and not accessed) — except as permitted by law.

📲 Follow-up for Infractions:

• 1️⃣ First Violation: Device Confiscation, Warning, Parent Contact, Student Pick-Up

• 2️⃣ Second Violation: Device Confiscation, Parent Contact, Detention, Parent Pick-Up

• 3️⃣ Third Violation: Device Confiscation, Parent Meeting, Saturday School/In-School Suspension, Parent Pick-Up

• 🚨 Additional Violations: Device Confiscation, Parent Meeting, ISS/OSS, Parent Pick-Up
